Why Digital?

A smoother screening journey from aircraft seat to officer desk.

The product is designed around movement: submit, screen, review, monitor, and report. Each step supports a clearer airport flow.

Step 1

Complete before landing

Arriving passengers can submit key travel and health details before reaching the Port Health counter.

Step 2

Automatic risk support

Structured symptom, exposure, and travel answers support consistent officer triage and follow-up.

Step 3

21-day monitoring

Declarations can support post-arrival public health follow-up where monitoring is required.

Step 4

Bilingual guidance

Core passenger instructions are presented in English and French for international arrivals.

Step 5

Operational reporting

Officer dashboards and exports help teams monitor arrivals, symptoms, countries of origin, and workload.

Step 6

Installable access

The public declaration shell is prepared for PWA installation; final submission still requires network access.

Install On Your Phone

Add the traveller declaration to your home screen.

The public declaration flow is prepared as an installable web app for convenient access. Health declaration submission and PDF download still require a network connection.

1

Open the declaration page in Chrome, Edge, or Safari.

2

Choose “Add to Home Screen” or install when your browser prompts you.

3

Use the GHS Declare icon before travel or when instructed by Port Health.

4

Keep your reference number available for airport screening and follow-up.

After submission, keep your reference number ready for the screening counter at Kotoka International Airport or any designated port of entry.

Travel Guidelines

What arriving travellers should expect.

These measures help minimize the risk of importation and transmission of Ebola through international travel into Ghana.

Before travel

Complete Ghana’s Health Declaration Form and truthfully declare recent travel or transit through Ebola-affected countries within the previous 21 days.

On arrival

All passengers undergo Port Health screening, including non-contact temperature checks and review of submitted declaration information.

If further review is needed

Travellers with symptoms, affected-area travel, or possible exposure may be guided to a designated assessment area for further evaluation.

Passenger responsibilities

Cooperate with Port Health Officers, follow screening instructions, report symptoms immediately, and practice frequent hand hygiene.

Public Health Notice

Know the symptoms before you submit.

Travellers experiencing symptoms before travel should postpone travel and seek medical attention. If symptoms develop during travel or at the airport, report immediately to the nearest Port Health Officer.

Post-arrival advisory

Travellers from countries with ongoing transmission may be monitored for up to 21 days and contacted for public health follow-up.

Common symptoms

Select “Yes” in the declaration for any symptom or exposure history that applies.

Fever
Severe weakness or fatigue
Headache
Vomiting or diarrhoea
Unexplained bleeding or bruising

False information, concealed symptoms, or refusal to comply may trigger public health measures under Ghanaian law.
